Geosynthetic liners can be used to provide primary and secondary containment solutions for chemical storage and to remediate existing storage tanks, the integrity for which may have been compromised over time. Both steel and concrete tanks that exhibit degradation can be relined and tested to ensure their integrity. Lined earthen and concrete bunds can also be used to provide secondary containment solutions to protect against the potential failure of the main storage tank.

Teneo have successfully completed five caustic soda containment facilities, dominating the market and making us an industry leader on an international scale.

Correct membrane selection is essential as well as efficient material procurement – as experts in the field, we know that secondary containment with proven effectiveness is crucial to the storage of this volatile product to maintain temperature and eliminate leak potential.

HDPE liners are a common choice, as the flexibility enables a seal to be formed around almost any shape. HDPE liner also has a high durability, making it excellent material for use with both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.

We have installed such systems for the protected containment of bulk quantities of:

  • Potable Water
  • Irrigation Water
  • Water for intensively house pigs or poultry
  • Effluent
  • Molasses
  • Dunder
  • Caustic Soda
  • Landfill

Teneo has the required competencies to advise clients in material selection and design and can deliver quality installations on-time and within budget.
